As far as oil in your diet use olive oil instead of supermarket vegetable oils like safflower, corn, and sunflower. When possible, apply olive oil to your food after it is cooked. A good thing is to avoid eating the fried skin on chicken- just the white meat is far more nutritional and has less fat. Pay attention on the amount and types of fats that you are taking in with your food. Bad fat can be in margarine and fried foods. A few goods fats are Omega-3, found in fish and flaxseed oil. Eating fish at least three times in a week is good but do not fry the fish.

Drinking water is good, you should drink at least eight ounces of water every day for every 20 pounds you weigh. Start drinking water before each meal to help fill you up so you don't over eat.
